Students work on Lesson 4 Warm-Up while I check and record homework assignment grades. Then, we go over the Lesson 4 New Concept and do the Lesson Practice before playing a quick dice game in which students compare numbers rolled. Then we begin Lesson 5 and go over the concept and practices before assigning homework.
Homework: Lesson 4 Mixed Practice (page 14) EVEN questions and Lesson 5 Mixed Practice (page 17) ODD questions only.

For those of you looking for this post last night/today, my apologies! Weebly must have had a glitch and didn't officially post it once I updated the site....Below you will find our class summary as well as the homework.
______________________________ Students started off working independently on the Warm-Up for lesson 2 while I recorded their homework assignments and then we discussed the Warm-Up and began lesson 2. After completing the Practice Set for lesson 2 we moved on to Lesson 3 and completed learning the new material as well as practice set questions. Homework: Mixed Practice for Lesson 2 (page 6) ODD questions only, Mixed Practice Lesson 3 (page 10) EVEN questions only. Parents, please make sure to grade AND sign the assignments! :) We had a great start to our school year in Math 6/5! We began class by doing class/teacher/student introductions and we played a get-to-know-you game. We then went over lesson 1 from the book and did the practice set questions!
Homework: Mixed Practice section on page 3 of the textbook. You ONLY need to do the ODD numbers from 1-25. Parents, please don't forget to grade AND SIGN the assignment once your child has completed it. I will check it on Monday and award a completion grade for those who have done the assignment. Cut out $1, $10, $100 money manipulatives on Activity Sheets 1-6 in the test and worksheets book. Place them in a ziplock or sandwich bag (something to contain them as to not lose them). If you would prefer your student not to cut out pages from their book--feel free to scan the pages and make copies. If you do not have the test and worksheets book yet, you can email me and I'll send you a photocopy for you to print off. Lastly, please read and sign the syllabus and have your student bring it to class on Monday. |
